if “zuo tian qu na li” means where were you yesterday, how do you say, “where were you?” just like that?

james, i think zuo tian qu na li means “where did you go yesterday?” To just say where did you go, you say “ni qu le ma”.

I’m learning to, but that is what I learned.

“你去哪里” is formal, “你去哪儿” is oral Mandarin. they are same meaning.
