我以前听到一句小故事。
一天一名荷兰的部长去中国参观中国的部长。
荷兰的部长不会说中文，所以他和他荷汉译者一起去中国。
一天在宴会的时候荷兰的部长看到了中国部长的妻子说“我觉得你非常漂亮“部长的妻子说“哪里，哪里”荷兰的部长问他的译者“哪里，哪里是什么意思“译者说“WAAR？， WHERE？”。荷兰的部长脸红了，
他羞死了，因为他不敢说她在她的什么地方是最漂亮。
“哪里哪里“的意思是“不对，没有 NOT AT ALL”对不对？
给中国人一句恭维他总是说“哪里哪里”？

哈哈，陆蓝克，很有意思的笑话。是的，”哪里哪里“就是”不是不是“， not at all。我听过这个笑话。是的，中国人喜欢谦虚，如果别人称赞你，我们通常说“哪里，哪里”。那么荷兰人呢？我听说西方人通常说“谢谢”，如果有人恭维你的话。是这样吗？如果有人恭维你，你会怎么说呢？

you already knew how to read and write chinese characters even how to speak mandarin…
but me wo bu zhi dao..
i pity myself..

Benny, ni have made wo putonghua xue xi hen easier. ru guo “xing ba ke zai na li” shi “where is starbucks?” then shenme do wo shuo ru guo wo yao shuo “starbucks is over there”? I heard in zhongwen instead of saying “The” you say this or that depending on how far away you are from it. Also what do I use as “Is”? shi or zai or nothing? Xie xie ni! And can i say “wan an” and “zao an” for good night and good morning? what does the an mean?
