Benny, I have a question. Why “qu” sonds like “chu”?
and there is some other cases, where`s the latin transcription sonds very different from the usual sounds.

Actually, they dont really sound familiar. Try this:
1) go to www.mandarintools.com
2) from there, click Chinese/English dictionary
3) type “qu” at the search bar and set as ‘pinyin’
4) You should be able to see alot of "qu"s there with their respective meanings. Just click one of them and you should be able to hear a sound sample on how to pronounce it.
5) repeat with “chu” word
