hi benny. I love your videos, i have a question i alway wonder about in the chinese. What is “la” and “le” used for? And what is the different? Can you give me explains please? Thank you very much! :)

Good question!

“le” indicates past tense. so verb + le =did

Example:

zuo tian, wo qu le beijing
I went to beijing yesterday.
qu=go. zuo tian= yesterday.

“la” is only a modal particle. especially the girls like to use it after many words.

people say “hao la” " ok la" " mei you la". THe same meaning as “hao” “ok” “mei you”
