hi benny,just a quick question, how to say ‘later’ and ‘almost’ in mandarin? like, for instance:
1) I will eat rice later
2) I almost drop my handphone

later = yǐ hǒu, but in your case later is " děng yi xià or yǐ huì er" which literally means wait a moment, therefore your sentence is :
wǒ děng yi xià /yí huì er chī = I will eat rice later
And almost is “jī hū”, I almost drop my hand phone = wǒ jī hū diào le wǒ de shǒu jī
