yi xia means “a little while, short time or just” it is usually used with certain verbs, for example:

děng yi xià = wait a moment

jiè shào yi xià = let…introduce

wèn yi xià = just to ask

tǎo lùn yi xià = discuss a little

qīng sōng yi xià = relax a little
