How can I tell the tones, because you chinese speak too fast, I was completely lost. In Japan it’s considered to be rude if you speak that fast to people

In China, speaking fast doesn’t mean rude to people. If you can’t catch up at the beginning, you can tell them " qing shuo man yi dian", which means “please speak slower”. Then everything will be clear to you. I think all the Chinese people will be glad to help you understand.
