Hello Sir,

Let me explain the context….actually the word “Ticket” mentioned here is not about the Bus ticket or Train ticket. People working in IT company use to “raise a Ticket” or “Log a Ticket” to the Techanical department at the time of having some Techanical issues, so that Techanical department people can resolve the same.

I hope this explanation would help to understand the context.

waiting for reply…..

Hi Shona,

I understand that the ticket is a technical term in IT industry. I have asked my IT team and friends who works in IT. Most of them normally keep it in English. Because the translation varies depends on the context and we can’t find a specific Chinese word which is 100% match the English word “Ticket”. And ticket could mean different things.

In summary, they have suggested the translation below,

提交任务 tíjiāo “rènwù” = raise a ticket (task)

提交问题 tíjiāo "wèntí"= raise a ticket (question)

提交错误 tíjiāo “cuòwù” = raise a ticket (error)

提交要求 tíjiāo “yāoqiú” = raise a ticket (request)

提交漏洞 tíjiāo “lòudòng” = raise a ticket (bug)

As you can see in those 4 scenarios, they can be all used for “ticket”, but pending on different situations. Therefore, to make it simple Chinese IT will just use English since everyone understands this word. Same thing applied to the word “bug”

Hope it helps and sorry for the late reply.

Benny

老师很感谢您…

Please tell me that for the phrase “Log Ticket for User” the Chinese translation “日志标签为用户” is correct or incorrect?
