Hello Benny. Your site is very helpful and well done. I have a couple of questions. First, how do I say “I don’t understand” and “I only know a little Chinese?”
Second, are there any childrens’ learning programs or movies in chinese I could watch to help with my learning of mandarin.
Thank You so much. Take care.
Luke

We have lots of Children programs and movies in Chinese, but the problem is most of them don’t have English translation, purely Chinese.
Is that ok for you?

Benny Feng Hey Benny,
Thanks for the translation. I am thinking that if I were to watch children’s educational shows in Chinese it would help me even though there is no translation. Do you think it would help? Perhaps movies would be a little complicated for now.
If you have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.
By the way, I’m curious. Your english is outstanding. Did you learn English as a child or later in life? | |

For Children program I would suggest you “喜洋洋与灰太狼 xi3 yang2 yang2 yu2 hui1 tai4 lang2” — Little goat and a big big wolf. Here is the link for all the videos online

My major is English literature and language in college, after I started teaching Chinese to foreigners right away, I guess because I practiced English everyday over the past 9 years teaching career. Therefore, my English has been improved a lot. I really believe practice makes you perfect, if you can practice Chinese even if 5 min a day, you will definitely become great in Chinese after certain amount of time
Cheers!
Benny Feng
