hi

“zen me cheng hu nin” and “ni ji sui la” are different. The former means what’s your name and the latter means how old are you?

“shi[should be xi3?] shou jian zen me zou” and “shi shou jian zai nali” are similar.

Hi Claudia Nai Nai,

Zen me cheng hu nin = How you would like to be called by me

Ni ji sui le = How old are you

I think “xi shou jian zai na li” is easier to say

Benny

HI Benny! I made a mistake. I would say what is the difference between :
nide mingzi jiao shenme?
what is your name?
and
zen me cheng hu nin ?
but you helped very much explaining me that the second means how you would like to be called by me. That’s quite different to ask what is your name.
well. Many thanksssssssssss! bie lè Claudia nai nai

If you make a mistake with any of the tones marks in a sentence, for example,
“xǐ shǒu jiān zài nǎ lǐ?” will a chinese person still understand what you are saying?

Also, how do you say “Can we please have noodles and lemonade?” (For ordering at a restaurant) and “Can we have the bill now?” I really need to know these for using in a restaurant because I am going to Beijing, China tomorrow and I don’t speak fluent Chinese.

Thanks Benny!
