Dear Claudia,

I have corrected the sentences for you.

nǐ xiān xǐ nǐ de shǒu yǐ hòu chī fàn
你 先 洗 你 的 手 以 后 吃 饭

nǐ chī yǐ qián bì xū yào xǐ nǐ de shǒu
你 吃 以 前 必 须 要 洗 你 的 手

nǐ chī fàn yǐ hòu nǐ bì xū shuā yá qián miàn hé
你 吃 饭 以 后 你 必 须 刷 牙,前 面 和

hòu miàn shàng xià
后 面, 上 下!

nà gè nǚ rén zài qián miàn kàn qǐ lái tài páng
那 个 女 人 在 前 面 看 起 来 太 旁,

dàn shì zài hòu biān kàn qǐ lái hěn shòu
但 是 在 后 边 看 起 来 很 瘦

Remenber in Chinese wordorder is of extreme importance, since in Chinese there are no declensions of nouns, conjucations of verbs. The only way to determine the grammatical function of a worde within a sentence is by word order.

I have studied Chinese for three years in 1970 in Peking, should be in Chinese
I in 1970 in Peking have studied Chinese for three years.

wǒ yī jiǔ qī líng nián zài běi jīng xué xí le zhōng
我 一 九 七 零 年 在 北 京 学 习 了 中

wén sān nián
文 三 年。

Succes!

万事如意

Hi Claudia Nai Nai,

Yi qian is a special word, we put it in between 2 sentences to connect 2 actions. For example:

before eating wash your hands = nǐ chī fàn yǐ qián, xiān xǐ shǒu

After should be “yǐ hòu”, for example:

wǒ qù Beijing yǐ hòu, wǒ huì qù Shanghai = After I go to Beijing I will go to Shanghai
