Hi Dr Amore ,

In fact, 累 is “tired” and 困 means “sleepy”

yes, for example… You worked so hard today and you feel tired, but not like u want to sleep. So you will say

wo2 hen3 lei3 (I’m very tired)

But now you have watched TV for 3 hours and you are getting a little sleepy! So you would say

wo2 hen3 kun4
(im not sure if I have the tones correct…)

You can also say “wǒ yòulèi yòukùn = I am both tired and sleepy”

Hi, Dr Amore

Your understanding between the differences of kun4 and lei4 is very right.

But the tones need a little bit changes: wo3 hen3 lei4 and wo3 hen3 kun4
