我找到了一本很有趣的中文短文关于荷兰人和荷兰话。
我翻译成英语两个段落。我不了解我翻译翻译得好
还是翻译得不好。。。情你们看以看 。。。

在十七世纪的一份文献中，当时的一位中国学者把他第一次
所见到的荷兰人描写为身高数丈的“鸿毛鬼”。那么今天的
中国人是如何看待这些来自所谓的低地国家的居民的呢？
便重要的是，他们对这些“红毛鬼”的语言-荷兰话-究竟了
解多少？他们是否知道语言的使用地区、使用者及使用人数？
在提到荷兰话时，他们会不会只想到荷兰荷兰人？
很多人会把一种话语和一个待定的国家的关系在一起。如何：
英语和英国，法语和法国，德语和得过德国以及它。
但是，这种关系常常会引起误会。 在很多情况下， 话语和国家并
不一定是两和互相对应的整体。在法国，除了法语以外，有些地区
还通行德语或意大利语。反过来，不 [人+廿口+王] 在法国在比利时和、瑞士，法
语
也是通用话语。

first meeting with a Dutchman, because of his physical length as “Red Fur
Devil”
Today, how do the Chinese regard these people from the so called low land
?
More important is, how much do they exactly know about the as “Red Fur Devil”
language of “Dutch” , and whether they know about the habits of that region,
how many people use the language. If they think about the Dutch language,
do they (also) think about Holland end it’s people?

Very many (the majority of) people think that a language and the country
where it is spoken to be the same thing. For example English and England
, French and France , German and Germany , Belgian and Belgium .
But this matter (approach) often cause problems. Language en country do
not
have to be a mutual corresponding entity. (i.e. there is no one to one correspondence
between language and country, many languages can be spoken in one country,
and one language can be spoken in many countries.[ Note of the author])
In France , there are regions where except for French they also use German
and Italian.
Vice versa except in France , French is also commonly used in Belgium and
Switzerland ,
