Why We In Case Of : 鸡 肉 = jī ròu = chicken We Use This Character

鸡 Instead Of this 机 Like In This Word 手机 = shǒu JĪ = Mobile

On Which Base we Do this ?

Why We Don not Use Only One Character Of Both 鸡 Or 机 That Give the Same Pronounce JĪ ????

I have Noticed That that this Character 鸡 Used In this word 鸡 肉

= jī ròu = chicken And I noticed also That Character 机 used in

this Word 手机 = shǒu JĪ = Mobile So Why We Don not Use only One

Character of them Is That Because Of 机 Means Machine so they put

it to Mobile and 鸡 Releated To Food so they Put It To Chicken

??IS THAT RIGHT????
