Hello Mr Benny NI HAO Mr Benny :

Why We In Case Of : 鸡 肉 = jī ròu = chicken We Use This Character 鸡 Instead Of This 手机 = shǒu jī = Mobile THIS

In Which Base we Do This Why We Don not Use One Character Only weather it This Or This 鸡 Or 机 That Gives the Same Pronounce That is JĪ ?

That’s a very good question, Gorsian. I am glad to ask.

This Character “鸡”, already means “chicken or rooster”, this animal. And “机” means “mechanic”, therefore, even though they sound exactly the same, but those 2 characters have different meanings.

If you write as “机肉”, it means “mechanic meat”. It doesn’t make any sense, when you’re write.
