Benny, I use rossta stone software. It is easy to learn vocab but when it comes to grammer…
I have a few questions:
QUESTIONS: zhè ge nǔ rén zài hē shuǐ
In this sentence what does zai and he mean?
And then: zhè ge nǔ rén zài chī fàn.
Why doesn’t this sentence have the he in it? And chi fan means food right?

Rossta stone is a good software for learning vocabularies.
zhè ge nǔ rén zài hē shuǐ = This woman is drinking water.
The grammar here is “zài + verb” which indicates the present tense. And “he = to drink”. “shuǐ = water”
Therefore “zhè ge nǔ rén zài chī fàn = This woman is eating”.
“chīfàn” means “eat food”
