Same in Chinese means “xiang1 tong2” or “yi1 yang4”. Different means “bu4 tong2” or “bu yi yang”.
Answer and reply have the same meaning of “hui fu” or “hui da”. E.g. Thanks for your reply= xie xie ni de hui fu. Here hui fu is a noun. But you may also say please reply to me= qing gei wo hui fu( noun) or qing hui fu (here is a verb) wo.
You example of “answer the phone/email” can be translated as “hui dian hua/you jian”. We omit “fu”. | |
