Hello mr. Benny,

How are you? I want to learn how to say: Thank you for…..
Thank you for coming!
Thank you for being so polite and nice.
Thank you for not being impatient.

When I go to China, I like to eat Chinese food.
When I’m at my house I like to study mandarin.

Also, I want to know: to be right and wrong.
What is the word for false in mandarin and how do I use the word Jia 1? Jia means house and family. How do I clarify the two? Wo de jia means my house? Zai jia means at home?

Hi Marine,

In Chinese “Thanks for… = xiè xie nǐ +……” For example:

1. Thank you for coming… = xiè xie nǐ lái….

2. Thank you for being so polite and nice = xiè xie nǐ zhè me kè qì

3. Thanks for your patience = xiè xie nǐ de nài xīn

4. When I go to China, I like to eat Chinese food = wǒ qù zhōng guó de shí hòu, wǒ xǐ huān chī zhōng guó cài

5. When I’m at my house I like to study Mandarin = wǒ zài jiā de shí hòu, wǒ xǐ huān xué xi pǔ tōng huà

As for right and wrong,

right = duì de

wrong = cuò de

False in Chinese is “jiǎ de”

In Chinese “jiā” means home.

House = fáng zi

family = jiā rén

“wǒ de jiā” means “my home”. Not my house

Zǎi jiā = at home
