Hi Benny, I found at a chinese-english dictionary this caracter: 好, I know it means good, but it had 2 tones one was hao3 and the other was hao2, so why is that difference? and how can I know when it’s the 3 or the 2nd tone?

Standardly, “好” only has one tone “third tone”

That’s for sure, if you looked up the dictionary, there is another special usage of “好” which is fourth tone, it is used as a verb. I can’t find the 好 with second tone.

Impossible
