| | RobertVicencio bennysland.com 2009-06-24 / 04:25PM | | Ah, lucky you! I guess I’m at an advantage with learning my Chinese, because my boyfriend is Chinese and tries to help me a lot with all of this, even though I try to do it all by myself. I plan on hopefully visiting China next summer, Beijing, and I know I’ll pick up more Chinese as well, should… Great! So you boyfriend was born in China or in America? Wow… there are a lot of fun things to do here in China… especially Shanghai where we can really show you round!
Look forward to hearing more news!

Look forward to hearing more news! He was born in China, in Tianjin, I don’t know if you’ve heard of it or not. I’ve heard there are lots of things to do in Shanghai, and I’m really looking forward to traveling around there! Lots of awesome places, and people. Have you traveled around anywhere else?

I know, China certainly is awesome, and I cannot wait to travel it extensively soon! I also hope to travel other places as well outside of China, other wonderful countries. Considering I hope to study other languages such as Japanese and Korean (if I can manage to get through Mandarin!), I think I may try to travel throughout those countries as well. Have you been to many other countries, or just mainly China?

I’m having enough problems just trying to leave the States! I used to hate traveling, but now I think the more I see the more I am, the more that adds to the person I am. I’ve had plans to go to Taiwan for quite a long time now, and they just kept getting messed up. I still hope to go there, though. Plus, traveling is how you learn those tough languages. I bet if I spent just a month in China, I would definitely learn a lot. So, you’ve been to all those places, have you been to the US?

So what’s your Major? You still studying right? Wow, you’re quite the traveler, aren’t you? =P I live in the US, and haven’t even been to those places. I’ve been to places like Chicago, and such, and even planned on going to Canada, but nothing too extensive.
Actually, I’m not majoring in anything because I am not in college yet.

I’m going to be a senior this year.
You know, I think Mandarin should be taught more widely across high schools (or schools even below that). Most schools around here just stick with Latin, German, Spanish, and French, and maybe a little Japanese. But, i think Mandarin would be a lot more useful than Japanese! I used to take French, but once I started Chinese on my own i thought about how much useful it was (even if it was more hard. =P ).
