May i know, when do i use ban4 办 and ding4 定 ? both seem to have the meaning “set up”. Would be great if u can provide some examples too.

“办” is often used in those phrase: 1. zěn me bàn 怎么办 = Any solutions? Or 办法 bàn fǎ = solution. 办理 bàn ilǐ = to handle; to process;to transact; to conduct
But when it is used sperately it means “get it done”. For example : 你去办这个事情 nǐ qù bàn zhè ge shì qíng = You get it done
Whie “定” means “confirm”, but it usually used in “确定”. You can say "shén me shí hòu wǒ men kě yi dìng 什么时候我们可以定? = When can we confirm?
