What is the difference between these words in the future tense, hui, 要(yào)/就(jiù)/快(kuài)…了(le)? And how do I use this word + verb in the future? Can you give me examples and explanation?

Hi Amada,

As for the future tense, the standard way is “huì”. For example: míng tiān wǒ huì qù Shanghai.

yào is ’want", but it does functions as “will”. For example: míng tiān wǒ yào qù Beijing. This kind of usag of yao" is very “informal and local”. As far as I know, you can only hear this in the South, especially in Shanghai.

“jiǔ 就” has lots of usages, for example: 1. wǒ jiù lái = I am coming soon. 2. wǒ jiù chī le yí kuài dàn gāo = I just ate one cake. 3. wǒ jiù shì Benny = I am Benny (emphasize)

Kuài 快 can be used with “Jiù 就”, like “就快 + Verb”, for example: wǒ jiù kuài dào le = I will arrive soon.

And it could be used inüidually, for example: “wǒ kuài dào le = I will arrive soon”
