2009-04-03 / 03:50PM | | Hi Martin,, you are exactly right here. Just because of the translation practice, Chinese people usually translate Martin as 马丁. Other examples such as John, we translate it as 约翰 which seems no relation to the pronunciation of John. There is no bad meaning for 马厅. No worries.
I am pretty sure you know Martin Luther King. We translate it as 马丁 路德 金。 | |
