so to say 99 you say jiu shi jiu. i was wondering how i would say 99 point 999 (99.999). firstly what is the word for “point” and secondly after the decimal point, do you say the numbers just as they are (ie; jiu jiu jiu) or is there anything special i should know?

Hi Stompy,

point in Chinese is “’dian3”. 99.999 is jiu3 shi2 jiu3 dian3, jiu3 jiu3 jiu3. After the decimal point, we just say the numbers, nothing special

Benny
