2) when do i use shen bing and just bing?
3) can i use “mian4” for the word “face”? like for example , ni de mian hen piao liang? in cantonese, face is pronounced as “min”

| | Benny the Mandarin Teacher bennysland.com 2009-02-13 / 10:55PM | | Hi nicholas,
1. chuǎn means “to spread”
2. bìng = illness and shēng bìng = get sick. But you can say “wǒ shēng bìng le and wǒ bìng le”. They both mean “I am sick”
3. The actual “people’s face = liǎn” not “miàn”.
Benny
