Hi Benny, can you tell me the usage of 一会, 一次 and 一番?
I was reading a sentence and I came across this 一番. Here’s the sentence:
一位戴眼镜的男士还亲自躺在上面感受了一番
Thanks!

| | Lee Kong hotmail.com 2009-01-30 / 03:47PM | | Well, I think I figured it out, 一番 is same as 一次, it means for a specific time period.
For example “the man felt something for sometime”. In this example, “for sometime” can be translated to 一番 or 一会 or 一次. Am I right Benny? | |

| | Benny the Mandarin Teacher bennysland.com 2009-01-30 / 08:58PM | | Hi Lee Kong, you’re really intelligent, ”一番“ is like “一下”. It is usually used with “体验 or 感受”. It’s more formal and written, this word can be replaced by “一下”. But it can’t replace ”一下"
