Hello, I have a very good question that i have never EVER seen the answer to. This has to do with shopping for items like meat by the pound. When i am in the Chinese market, how say “pound of”. For Example: Wo yao 1 “pound of” ji rou “wings”.

You should say: wǒ yào mǎi 2 jìn jī ròu = I want to buy 1 kg Chicken.
Or you can use “gōng jīn = kg”
