Actually, 动 has a lot of usage in different situations. Here i can give you two general examples.
A: 动 as a verb means" move", but for subject itself, like " 我以为这条鱼死了，可是它动了——i thought the fish died, but it moved a bit."
B:动 as a auxiliary verb， it indicates “can make it or not”, usually, we use it as a negative form with "不“。
Eg: 我走不动了。I cannot walk any further.
我搬不动它。i can not move it. | |
