i get confused how to use past tense
(le)…i know “wo gao su ni” means i tell you, but how do you correctly say “i told you”?

Hi, “I told you” in Chinese wo say" wo gao su le ni" or “wo gao su guo ni”, both of them are correct. But if the sentence has a time word, “guo and le” are not neccessary, for example: zuo tian wo gao su ta…. = I told him yesterday that….
