Fantastic introductions. One question though, to what extent are regional dialects different across China, say, between Sichuan province and somewhere in the north like Harbin?

Would you be understood speaking classical Mandarin just about everywhere?

I am hopefully going on exchange to China next year but my pronunciation is still terrible :P These vids are great help.
