This is great, iam learning a lot. iam only confused on “ma”. how and when do you use it during a question?

I think if you ask for an action or a situation, “ma” can be used.

eg: Have you finished your lunch?=“ni3 chi1 wan2 fan4 le ma?”

Do you feel happy?= ni3 jue2 de kuai4 le4 ma?

Could some one else provide more explanations?

Hi thanks Jenny. In fact, “ma” is a question word which is put at the end of the sentence to indicate the “question”. However when there is any question words such as “what, where, how to, when” we don’t need to put “ma”, because this sentence is already means a question
