In Chinese you dont really ask the question, “How was your day”, but you can say “Ni Zhenme yang?”… which is like “How are you?”

You may also say "nī jīn tiān zěn me yàng? " or “nǐ jīn tiān guò de hǎo mā?”
You=“nǐ”
today= “jīn tiān”
how=“zěn me”
In China, if you want to talk to sb, you may just start like “nǐ hǎo ma?”.
