| | Benny the Mandarin Teacher bennysland.com 2008-05-21 / 08:16PM | | Hi Philo, Chinese is quite special. There is no fixed rules. many rules are not followed completely, there are always some exceptions. The only way is just to remember the exceptions and special cases.
There are some structures has time words in the middle. Could you please give the example so that I can see and explain to you
Benny

| | Roland Parijs yahoo.com 2008-05-25 / 08:04PM | | Starting-Time is expressed in the beginning of a sentence, time-duration however at the end (is it not Benny?). So “I want yesterday for 3 weeks to Beijing” would be
“Wo zuo tian qu bei jing san ge xing qi "
“I YESTERDAY go BeiJing 3 WEEKS”
我昨天去北京三个星期
where zuotian 昨天 (yesterday) is the starting-time and san ge xing qi 三个星期 the duration (3 weeks).
I don’t know of a structure with time expressed in the middle of a sentene …
