“mian4” and “lian3” are not interchangeable although they may have the same meaning sometimes. If you want to describe the face of some one, I suggest use the word"lian3" instead of “mian4”.
You may say"ni de lian hen ke ai" or more often we just say"ni3 hen3 ke3 ai". She may understand you totally.
