| | Benny the Mandarin Teacher bennysland.com 2008-05-02 / 11:45AM | | Hi Raul, “zǒu” means “to walk”, while “zǒu lù” means “walk by foot”
“Zǒu” is a single verb which normally can’t be used alone. But there are exceptions:
wǒ men zǒu (ba) = let’s go!
wǒ men shén me shí hòu zǒu? = When do you leave?
“zǒu lù” is a phrase.
For example:
A: nǐ zěn me qù Shanghai? = How do you get to Shanghai?
B: zǒu lù
or you can say: wǒ zǒu zhé qù/ wǒ zǒu qù Shanghai
