cant you just say hen mae??
cos my bf speaks mandarin and he was said that hen mae is very beautiful, and its so much easier to say!! is there different contexts?

“Hen3 mei3” means very beautiful. You may also say “piao4 liang4” and “mei3 li4” which all mean beautiful.

měi means both “beauty and beautiful”, piào liàng is just an adjective. That’s the difference between those 2 words
