Dà jiā hǎo! When you visit a new country, sometimes unexpected emergencies occur. How do you deal with emergencies in an unknown environment? Obviously it helps when you know a little of the local language! So let me teach you some survival mandarin! Come with me and let's see how we use it!

For example, when you discover that your purse was stole by someone, you can say “xiǎo tōu” directly, then call 110 for help. Here come two important sentences:
Kuài dǎ yāo yāo líng. Call 110 now. |
快打110。 |
Yǒu rén sāo rǎo wǒ. Someone is harassing me. |
有人骚扰我。 |
If you need an ambulance, what can you say:
Wǒ xū yào yī liàng jiù hù chē. I need an ambulance.

我需要一辆救护车。 |
If you really need other people's help, for example, your feet were hurt by something and you can not move, you can say “jiù mìng”.
