Good day everyone! Nǐ hǎo, wǒ shì Benny, nǐmen hǎo ma? (How are you guys, I am Benny). Did you practice what we learned in our last Experience? If people understand you, it means you are actually speaking in Chinese. Congratulations!
Today I am going to teach you three very basic but absolutely important words about time . Ok, here we go.
jīntiān |
今天 |
today |
míngtiān |
明天 |
tomorrow |
zuótiān |
昨天 |
yesterday |
qù |
去 |
to go |
FOR EXAMPLE:
Jīntiān wǒ qù Shànghǎi. I am going to Shanghai today. |
今天我去上海。 |
Míngtiān wǒ qù Běijīng. I will go to Beijing tomorrow. |
明天我去北京。 |
That’s cool, from this moment on you can tell your friends your schedule!
Another example about yesterday:
Zuótiān wǒ qùle Shànghǎi. I went to Shanghai yesterday. |
昨天我去了上海。 |
Chinese doesn't have words for tense, nor do you need to add one word to indicate the past tense, you only need to give the time. See, Chinese grammar is not as difficult as you think!
It's easy for today's experience, isn't it? But you have to practice. Remember time waits for no one. Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift!. That's why it's called the present.
It's easy as ABC!
