Hi Malaysia!

In Mandarin, we say “qǐng duō jiā yī diǎn er táng, hǎo ma?”.

qǐng = please

duō jiā yī diǎn er = add more

táng = sugar

I just wondered about “Wǒ yào chī Burgerking.” What about: “I want to eat a hamburger?” instead?

Sorry,Silke Mersmann. you can not say that, because they are different.

Wǒ yào chī Burgerking. means I’d like to eat Burgerking. Burgerking is a brand of hamburger. *hàn bǎomeans hamburger . if you want to say*I want to eat a hamburger* you should say*Wǒ yào chī hàn bǎo*.

ok. Here i am going out for dinner. how about you. hope you will enjoy the hàn bǎo

I found a difference in Benny’s pronouciation of “chi” and the one i usualy hear in Malaysia. I’m not good in pinyin, but it sound more like “tse” over there.

Q from “qu” sounds like “Ch” from “cheese”

And “chi” sounds like “CH” from the word “Chinese”

It’s not easy to tell the difference, the only way is to practice more and listen more.

Cheers!
