Ni hao Benny, xie xie for answering me so promptly all the time. I agree that the question “Nǐ yǒu nán péng you ma?” is very important for boys, but what about girls? I miss the word “girlfriend” from this lesson, is it “nu peng you”?

Are the tones in the pinyin correct?
In: “Nǐ hěn piàoliang” I hear the falling tone in “hen”.
And in “Nǐ yǒu nánpéngyou ma” I hear the falling tone in “you”.

Hi Checkgirl,
Can = neng, could = ke yi
“Neng” sounds stronger than “ke yi”, also “ke yi” is more polite
