Jackie Chan is awesome, but for me he comes second to Tony Jaa. Ni zhi dao Tony Jaa ma?

I just realized I didn’t add the tones! “Nǐ zhī dào” – there we are. Tony Jaa is a Thai martial artist – I think his first appearance was as a stunt double in Mortal Kombat: Annihilation. He knows quite a few forms of martial arts, but he is mostly skilled in Muay Thai and Muay Boran. His best known movies are Tom-Yum-Goong and Ong-Bak. His heroes are Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee and Jet Li. You should watch his films, see what you think.

Xiàn zài wǒ zhī dào le!
Actually I’ve seen Ong-Bak, haha. But I didn’t remember his name. It’s a nice movie, and he’s cool! but Jet Li is my No.1

Haha, that’s good – but Ong-Bak is nothing compared to Tom-Yum-Goong. :p Tom-Yum-Goong has the most amazing stunts I’ve ever seen! For me the top three, in order, would be Tony Jaa, then Jet Li, and then Jackie Chan. Apparently Fearless is Jet Li’s last Wushu film. :(
Anyhow, be sure to watch Tom-Yum-Goong and let me know what you think – it will be a memorable watch. ;)

I’ll definitely watch it. I just google it. In Mandarin, it’s called “dōng yīn gōng”.
Yes, Fearless is Jet Li’s last movie. One of an actor in supporting role in this movie, Jon Ben, is one of my student here in Shanghai. But he just show up few minutes. :). He was also in one of Bruce Lee’s movie “Way of the Dragon”, as a bad guy.

Wow, that’s cool. I’ll be sure to look out for him. Fearless was Jet Li’s last wushu movie, but he is still going to be in movies – he recently played the main role in a movie called War. I think it could of been better, but it is good.

Hehe, my mistake. The last Wushu movie, yes, but he’s still doing movies.

I notice a drought in the martial arts films these days. Tom-Yum-Goong was the last one I saw as well. I hope Tony Jaa makes another one sometime soon!

Benny, is it true that Renshi can also mean Recognize? If so how would you say
‘Im sorry, I didnt recognise you!’
My guess: Buhaoyisi,wo mei renshi ni’ is this good ?
PooshyBooshy. I would strongly recommend getting the tones right especially with this word or it could cause you some major embarresment. Renshi with other tones can mean something VERY different!!!!
