Why is the “hé” in this sentence? Doesn’t that mean “to drink”?

Actually "hē = to drink (first tone)
hé = and (second tone)

Hi Manuel, this is “fill in the blanks”, like what you did when you were at school.
We take all the function words ( because/ if/ so) out and let you to put the correct one to complete the whole paragraph
