Chinese Horoscope
In Western cultures, people believe in Zodiac signs, while in China, people believe in Chinese horoscopes. As you may or may not know, the Chinese horoscopes are: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Lamb, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, Pig.
The animal ruling the year of your birth exercises a profound influence on your life. It is thought that each Chinese horoscope embodies its Animal's characteristics, as seen by Chinese, in the people born that year.
Take me for an example: I was born in the year of Rooster. Somehow I didn't like my horoscope very much when I was small. In fact, I prefer dragon or tiger because it was so powerful and big. However, things were changed when I knew the characteristic of being a rooster. It is said that Rooster People are quite talented and capable. They are always devoted to their work and have a reputation for being the hardest of workers.
I love that! And of course, the rooster has some shortcomings such as moody and can be too outspoken. They are often self-centered, but can be quite brave when the situation calls for it.
Do you know your Chinese horoscope? More importantly, do you have any idea about its characteristics and shortcomings?
